Clubs at Woodrow Wilson

Woodrow Wilson clubs meet after school throughout the school year. Clubs meet following dismissal, and end at 3:30. There is a late bus available for families who need it on Tuesdays and Thursdays, only. Club schedules will be posted for each session separately and will be on different days of the week, usually according to the corresponding letter day (A - F Day Cycle).

Art Club
Art club meets throughout the school year by grade level. This club is run by Mrs. Sealander. Students will have an opportunity to join and will stay after school to experiment and create art using a variety of materials.

3rd Grade and 4th/5th Grade Choirs
Choir exposes students to singing and will develop their singing voices while learning a varied music repertoire. Students will also work on blending their voices as they learn to work together as a choir. Students should be prepared to perform at the winter and spring concerts, if joining Choir.

Drama
Drama Club at Woodrow Wilson provides students with an opportunity to gain experience with musicals. Students will learn more about singing, dancing, choreography, stage crew, poster design, and scene design. There is an opportunity to audition for the main cast as well as to participate in stage crew and work behind the scenes. The 2024-2025 Drama club will work on a play entitled “Dig It!” by Roger Emerson and John Jacobson. Performers and Stage Crew members will be expected to be present for the June performance (daytime performances, only).

Band
We are proud to offer both instrumental music lessons and after school band at Woodrow Wilson. Rehearsals in band advance musicianship and prepare repertoire for public performances.  Musicians who complete a series of lessons successfully will be invited to join the band, which performs at the winter and spring concerts, and a few other opportunities during the year.

Computer Club
Woodrow Wilson’s Computer Club exposes students to the many and varied uses of computers in a more relaxed and fun setting than the regular school day allows time for. Throughout computer club students will utilize graphic design, computer science, coding and programming, digital citizenship, desktop publishing skills, and more.

Student Lighthouse
At Woodrow Wilson, Leader in Me is a big part of our climate and culture. Each classroom has Student Lighthouse Leaders who work to help us create, plan, and deliver events, activities, celebrations, and assemblies. Our Lighthouse leaders are student leaders helping make our school a bit brighter.
